KNI
has been authorized by C-DAC for the following courses:- • D I T (Diploma in Information Technology) Part-time, 120 hrs-duration 3 months. • ADIT (Advanced Diploma in Information TEchnology) Part-time, 264 hrs-duration - 6 months • Co-DAC (Cocurricular Diploma in Advanced Computing) Part-time, 1008 hrs.-duration-3 years • LCMC (Low Cost Multimedia Cource) Part-time, 90 hrs. - duration - 9 weeks • ACA (Application of Computer Arts) Part-time, 90 hrs. - duration 9 weeks. |

C-DAC
offer many programmes of computer education. DAC (Diploma in Advanced
Computing) is the primier programme for Software Professionals. The
number of seats for C-DAC programme are limited, on all India basis.The
students who complete the C-DAC course have a very bright future and
almost an assured career in the software area in India and abroad. Students
for the DAC course are selected on the basis of written examination
on computer fundamentals, i.e:- i) Data Structure using C++ - 48 hours ii) Object Oriented Concepts - 24 hours iii) C++ Programming - 72 hours |

In
view of above C-DAC recommend that students who want to appear for DAC
course should prepare for the examination through a Pre-DAC course of
144 hrs spread over 36/72 days. The authorized Training Centres of CDAC
conduct the Pre- DAC course. In view of the rush of candidates for admission
to DAC course, the CDAC have formulated the scheme of Virtual Institutions
which can prepare students for the Pre-DAC Course. |

virtual institutions would be given the following help in their operations

Marketing seminars for awareness generation of DAC courses. ii) Consultancy for proper installation of Computing and infrastructural facilities. iii) Faculty orientation programmes. iv) Teaching Material and books for the students. v) Application form for DAC admission. |

The
virtual institution have an easier option for starting I.T programme
of CDAC through the Authorized Training Centres like, Knowlege Network
India because otherwise as direct ATC the institution has to pay Rs
5 lacs as one time license fee and authorization fee of Rs 1.25 lacs
per year per course for conducting CDAC approved programmes. |
