||||
What
is the best method of preparing for the IIT-JEE? |
||||
One
should opt for a Classroom Training Programme if it is available in
vicinity. This helps a student to understand concepts easily. It is
advisable to join a coaching where personalised attention is given,
i.e. not more than 20 students sit in a class at a time. The classroom
course should be supported by course material. One should opt for online
courses or postal correspondence course. INDIANET offers comprehensive
2 year and 1 year online courses apart from the test-series and problem

||||

is the advantage of online comprehensive course as compared to postal
correspondence course? |
||||
The
following are the advantages:
1. A printed course cannot be updated fast. Whereas, online course can be updated in hours. In fact we update our course files on daily basis. 2. The online courses are more interactive in nature and also facilitate speedy reply. To get a reply by post, it may take 8-10 days minimum, whereas in online courses it should take not take more that 48 hrs. 3. The cost of the courses offered
by us are priced in the range of 5000-6000 whereas postal courses are
more costly. 5. The online course is backed by presentations/simulations/animations etc. which is not the case with printed material. 6.The .pdf files are search enabled allowing one to search for certain word or group of words. This is not possible in case of printed material. |
||||
In
case I have doubts, how do I get them clarified using online courses? |
||||

Chemistry and Maths. The online comprehensive course students may also
email their doubts in case the doubts are not resolved in the forum. |
||||
What
is the right time to start preparing for IIT-JEE? |
||||
The
best thing is to start as early as possible, right from the 9'th standard
if possible. However, one must start just after clearing class 10'th
if not started earlier. In such a scenario the student gets adequate
time of 2 years to prepare for the IIT-JEE. This ensure that his/her
preparation for the IIT-JEE is complete before the pressure of Board
examinations begins to tell. |
||||
How
does one cope up with the school syllabus and preparation for the IIT-JEE? |
||||
The
syllabi of the IIT-JEE is nearly the same as that of CBSE Board exams.
The only difference lies in the depth. In IIT-JEE, stress is laid on
a deep understanding of concepts and their applications and therefore
a student is required to solve problems based on thorough understanding
of the subject, while in the CBSE Board exams, stress is given on reproducing
the facts. The best method of managing both is to be regular in classes
and ensuring proper time management. |
||||
How
is marking done in IIT-JEE Mains? |
||||
JEE
papers are very carefully scrutinised and checked to eliminate the chances
of errors and mistakes. Lot of people sit in a big hall, and one person
checks one particular question thus reducing the chances of difference
in marks for different students for a particular question. Part marks
are there and are allocated as per the number of steps matching with
the printed solution. There are separate cut-offs for each subject as
well as total cut-out. |
||||
What
is the exam taking strategy for IIT-JEE? |
||||
Spend
some time to read and comprehend each question in the question paper
Classify each question into categories A, B, C.
A: You are confident that you will be able to solve this one immediately. B: You cannot solve it immediately, but you think that thoughts may come to you once you start attempting it. C: You have no clue in which direction to head to crack this problem. Start solving the question in the priority A, B, C to optimise your marks. Even if you spend your initial 5-10 minutes of the paper doing this exercise, it does not matter. It will be highly rewarding. |
